As part of our ongoing work to build a larger movement for affordable housing advocacy across the state, the NC Housing Coalition is beginning a series of workshops that will explore the work of housing advocacy with intersecting issues that affect our entire community. The first, Housing and Disability Rights, will unpack the work of ensuring that housing is not only affordable, but accessible to differently-abled communities. We will hear from guest speakers that work specifically with Disability Rights organizations. In addition, we will have a policy update, advocacy skill-building from Nick McLeod, the Coalition’s Local Organizing Director, and resources to continue movement-building in your own networks.
