Coronavirus Event Update

The Coalition is prioritizing the safety of our members and community at large. With the spread of the Coronavirus in North Carolina, we are providing the following updates on the status of upcoming events.

Listening Sessions, March 17
We are postponing our scheduled listening sessions until further notice. In the meantime we are developing ways to participate online.

Disaster Recovery Training, March 30-April 3
The Disaster Recovery Training scheduled for March 30-April 3 in New Bern has been postponed. Registration will carry over once the training has been rescheduled.

Bringing it Home: Ending Homelessness in NC, May 20-21
Governor Roy Cooper has declared a State of Emergency for the State of North Carolina in response to the novel coronavirus or COVID – 19. It is the intention of the State and its partners to protect the safety and well-being of government and stakeholder staff as well as our citizens and your families. While we are monitoring the situation, registration remains open. However, if it becomes necessary to suspend the conference, we will return all registration fees. It is our hope that we will not have to cancel the conference but postpone it until later in the year. The committee is making preparations in the event that a postponement is needed.

We will continue to send updates as they become available. In the meantime, take care of yourselves, follow the advice being provided by both DHHS and HUD, and thank you for the care you give for the individuals we serve.

If you have any questions about Bringing it Home: Ending Homelessness in NC, contact Haley Solomon at hsolomon@nchousing.org or 919-827-4492.
