The WNC Recovery Resource Database is a centralized and collaborative database for addressing urgent and long-term housing needs in Western NC following Hurricane Helene. This database includes several types of resources, such as direct assistance guides, mutual aid organizations, information about housing rights, rule changes for disaster-impacted communities, and more. The resources provided have been carefully vetted and fact-checked by Coalition staff, and the database will be regularly updated with new and updated resources.

Urgent: Sign Up for FEMA Assistance Now
If you were impacted by Hurricane Helene, it is critical to sign up for FEMA Individual Assistance now in order to be eligible for both short term and long term housing assistance. In the short term, FEMA can provide immediate $750 cash support, temporary shelter assistance for staying in a hotel for up to six months, and case management to get you back into housing. In the long term, HUD will take over federal housing recovery assistance from FEMA and use the FEMA Individual Assistance pipeline to allocate those resources. Click here to learn more about signing up for FEMA Individual Assistance, or review the FEMA Disaster Relief Direct Assistance in the database below.
