Education Requirements: Graduate from four-year college or university and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in supervising employees.
Experience Requirements: Candidate must have a high level of professionalism. Must have knowledge of federal, state, and local housing programs, development and management of HUD programs, and fair housing. Experience in affordable housing, property management, and program development is required. Must have general knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental illness.
Responsibilities: The Housing Operations Officer will serve as a key leadership team member to the Housing Division. Oversee occupancy support staff and collaborate with other housing and organization staff. Duties will include: participate in policy making decisions related to occupancy and housing operations; and develop and initiate procedures and staff training. Conduct training workshops for Local Operating Units. Maintain procedures manual for staff and Local Operating Units. Collaborate with and support various entities as it relates to tenants’ rights and grievances. Support the operations of the housing program which include assisting with certification of tenants, rent and security deposit collection and payment processes for on-going maintenance and needed repairs.
